Welcome to the Guidance Office
The goal of the Guidance Office is to make sure that our students are given the opportunities and resources to be successful in their personal, social and academic lives. Each student is unique and full of potential. We work with students to help them reach their potential by providing the necessary character, knowledge, skills and attitude they need to thrive in our ever-changing world. We work to develop and maintain positive relationships with students so they will feel comfortable talking honestly about any problems or challenging situations they are facing. Children are on a continuous path of change and growth. We're here to listen, build trust and offer support to help students gain a happy and successful school experience.
High School
The receiving school for high school Little Ferry students is Ridgefield Park High School (RPHS), located at 1 Ozzie Nelson Drive in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Contact Ms. Anderson, share-time guidance counselor, should you have any questions. If a student plans to apply to a private school, technical school, or academy, he or she must apply independently and notify Ms. Anderson to send academic records.
The transitioning process to RPHS includes presentations, a shadowing program, high school events, academic counseling, scheduling, placement tests, and orientation in 8th grade.
