Chief for a Day 2026
Alex, a 6th Grader, was selected to participate in this year’s “Chief for a Day Program” with the Little Ferry Police Department! Working alongside LFPD Chief James Walters, Alex learned what it takes to manage a police force as well as the ins and outs of keeping both our town and schools safe!
Mayor and Council for a Day
A select group of 8th Graders, along with Student Government Advisor, Mr. Reynolds, participated in the annual “Mayor and Council for a Day” with the Borough of Little Ferry!
Congratulations to Mazen and Soham, who, after presenting their election speeches to classmates, were voted in as Mayor and Council President, respectively! Special shoutout to Riley, Zoe, Ardil, Yakup and Ryan for being Council Members!
Students attended an afternoon session at Boro Hall where they discussed their concerns and shared their ideas on how to improve Little Ferry with Mayor Raguseo and Councilman Enrique.
We’d like to thank Barbara Maldonado for organizing our visit, and Mayor Raguseo and Councilman Enrique for taking the time to meet with us and giving us a chance for our voices to be heard!

We are proud to announce that Mrs. Marteen Agresta has been selected as our Elementary Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Kristen Occhino has been selected as our Middle School Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Agresta brings joy, creativity, and dedication to the classroom each and every day. Through engaging lessons, a nurturing environment, and a passion for helping every child succeed, she makes a lasting impact on students both academically and personally. Mrs. Agresta is known for celebrating small victories, encouraging a love of learning, and building strong relationships with families.
Mrs. Occhino is encouraging, motivating, and deeply committed to her students’ growth and development. She is always available to communicate with families as she provides thoughtful insight and guidance every step of the way. Mrs. Occhino is known for her patience and caring nature.
