On May 13th at the Little Ferrry Board of Education Meeting the Little Ferry PTA acknowledged and celebrated four of our incredible staff members for reaching their 25 Years teaching milestone in Little Ferry Public Schools!

National Junior Honor Society
CONGRATULATIONS to our newest members of the National Junior Honor Society who were inducted into Memorial Middle School’s Knights of Honor Chapter last month! We commend these remarkable students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment and are excited to witness the positive impact they will continue to make within the Little Ferry Community and beyond. Special shoutout to our Memorial Middle School Entrepreneurs who worked so hard these past 10 weeks creating and building their businesses! And of course, much love and thanks to the TREP$ Advisors, Mrs. Son and Mrs. Malki, for guiding and supporting these budding business owners along the way!
Teachers of the Year
We are proud to announce that Mrs. Marteen Agresta has been selected as our Elementary Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Kristen Occhino has been selected as our Middle School Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Agresta brings joy, creativity, and dedication to the classroom each and every day. Through engaging lessons, a nurturing environment, and a passion for helping every child succeed, she makes a lasting impact on students both academically and personally. Mrs. Agresta is known for celebrating small victories, encouraging a love of learning, and building strong relationships with families.
Mrs. Occhino is encouraging, motivating, and deeply committed to her students’ growth and development. She is always available to communicate with families as she provides thoughtful insight and guidance every step of the way. Mrs. Occhino is known for her patience and caring nature.
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Agresta and Mrs. Occhino on this well-deserved honor! The Bergen County Education Association recently celebrated excellence in education at the annual Teacher of the Year Luncheon .
Our 2026 recipients, Mrs. Agresta and Mrs. Occhino, attended alongside Mr. Perrapato, Mrs. Peragallo, and Mrs. LeGates and were honored for the incredible dedication and passion they bring to their classrooms each day!

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for the opening of the Washington School time capsule yesterday! It was a special moment to see everything that was left behind for the future generations of Little Ferry to discover - including the American flag with only 48 stars!
